ACCOUNT HISTORY

Even with a "1" rating, you are not absolutely ensured you will get the additional credit you want. Your prior payment history is strongly accounted for.

Your account history is defined in two ways. Through a status comment and your payment pattern.  Your payment pattern is very important to a creditor when evaluating you. On all reports it is shown to the far right of the page. It will demonstrate your payment pattern for the past two years.  It will show whether you pay on time as agreed or that you have made delinquent payments of 30, 60, 90 or more days.

TRW will define your pattern using letters and numbers.  A letter "C" demonstrates that month's payment was current. A "1" would be 30 days past due, a "2", 60 days past due, a "3", 90 days past due and so on. A "-" (dash) represents that no history was reported for that particular month and a "N" would state that the account is current and there is no balance reported for that month.

Your CBI report designates your history using an "*" and numbers.  An "*" says that month was paid as agreed and a "number" would represent how many months late the payment was made.

On the Trans Union report, a "1" would represent current status and a "2" would be 30 days late, a "3" 60 days late and so on. An "X" would indicate no rating was reported that month by your creditor.
